Naveen highlights Welfare Programes for Tribals in Odisha
Tribes Odisha: Speaking at the inaugural session of Capacity Building Programme of Tribal PRIs, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik said PRIs are at the soul of the development process & reflect the mood of the people adding that the programme will empower them to discharge their responsibilities more effectively.
The CM highlighted welfare programmes initiated #by Odisha Govt for the social-economic & educational empowerment of the tribal people including 6700 hostels and 1731 schools to provide quality education to 6 lakh students, #MissionSuvidya & #MissionJeebika to promote livelihood.
CM Naveen Patnaik also added that #Odisha is number one state in the country in implementation of Forest Rights Act by giving land titles to more than 4.36 lakh forest dwellers. CM reiterated commitment to promote and preserve tribal culture and heritage through Special Development Councils.
