Neta Pila: Know about this unique tradition

The sebayat family of Puri observe a special tradition every year on Ashwina Shukla Panchami. It is referred to as Neta Pila. It is also known as Neta Panchami because it falls on Ashwina’s Panchami tithi. The young ladies of Sevak families carry out certain unique rites on this particular day.
This Brata is appropriate for girls in the age ranges of 3,5,7, or 9. From Bhaadraba Purnima to Ashwina Shukla Ashtami, it is done. For these 21 days, they worship Lord Shiva with a betelnut, seven seashells, and a little box during Bali Puja, which is performed at their homes close to the Tulasi plant.
These young ladies are decked out in traditional clothing and jewelry during Ashwina Shukla Panchami and Ashtami. They are holding a silver plate containing betelnuts, seashells, and turmeric, as well as another plate containing Janhi, oranges, cucumbers, coconuts, and sacred thread. Together with their grandmother or other senior women in the family, they attend the Markandeya Puskarini. Sand is used to create a Shiva Linga there, and Haragouri is worshipped.
