Tribes Odisha: People in Jeypore town in Koraput district has expressed huge displeasure over contaminated water supply. While Prasad Rao Peta and Parabeda areas reported mud water, some other areas too reported dirty and stinky water.
The Public Health Department is accused of maintaining the water pipeline, leading to such problems.
According to sources, some people are also indulged in taking illegal water connection by digging up the road. As they are untrained, it affects the main water pipelines.
Onus lies on Jeypore Municipality to launch the crackdown and restore clean drinking water supply to the common people.
