Nestled in the heart of Odisha, Hindol Palace is an astonishing reminder of a glorious history, once the seat of the Hindol princely state. Built in the 19th century, the palace reflects a beautiful combination of Rajputana and Odia architecture, with grand courtyards, carved pillars, and vintage suites that echo stories of royal heritage and cultural richness.

But time has been very cruel to this heritage site as years of negligence have taken away the palace’s richness and beauty. Walls of the palace are fading, ceilings are in the verge of collapsing, and wild vegetation is overtaking the structure. What was once a symbol of rich royal pride now stands on the brink of ruin.

Local folks, historians, and heritage preservers have long urged the government for its restoration as the place has immense potential to boost state’s tourism, create jobs, and rekindle cultural awareness. The palace once a tapestry of cultural richness now turned into an canvas of dullness deserve a renovation to keep the history and saga alive.
